Climate leader Suzy Hutomo built a lifestyle business with character. In 1992, she and her husband acquired a license from The Body Shop, a global body care brand from UK founded by Anita Roddick, who was also very much concerned about gender and environmental issues.
Suzy Hutomo, now the Executive Chairwoman of The Body Shop Indonesia believes that business is but a link in the chain of planet, people and profit. She consistently practices business that pays attention to the environment.
Rika Anggraini, a climate leader trained in Jakarta in 2011 who the General Manager of Corporate Communications of The Body Shop Indonesia welcomed climate leaders along with Aryo Widiwardhono, the CEO of The Body Shop Indonesia.
Rika explained about The Body Shop Indonesia’s green business in its 142 outlets all over Indonesia. In 2016 The Body Shop strengthen its pillar to Enrich Our People, Enrich Our Products, and Enrich Our Planet.
Among its most popular programs are the Earth Hour Program; Bring Back Our Bottle; and Say no to plastic bags, straws, plastic food containers, plastic bottles.
Recently Suzy Hutomo launched Sustainable Suzy, a website aimed at the Millenials to promote sustainable living.
