Laplatasaurus is another titanosaur from the Allen Formation and Anacleto Formation of Argentina, and the Palacio Formation of Uruguay. It lived in the Campanian age of the Late Cretaceous, between 83 and 72 million years ago. It is known from the partial remains of three individuals and has a confusing taxonomic history that I don’t feel like getting into. It was about 18 meters long and 6 meters tall, and it may have had osteoderms forming an armored plate on its back, though they would have been less extensive than that of Saltasaurus.
