Putin Submitted a Draft Law to State Duma for Ratification

Russian President Vladimir Putin submitted the agreement on creation of joint groups for responding to the security threats on the CIS borders to the State Duma for ratification, RIA Novosti reports.

The draft law on ratification provides the formation, implementation and termination of the activities of joint groups of border agencies of the CIS countries.

"The implementation of the agreement will promote the development of partnership of the states - participants of the Commonwealth of Independent States in the border sphere, improving the efficiency and effectiveness of the decisions taken in order to ensure reliable protection of external borders and the strengthening of border security states - participants of Commonwealth of Independent States," the note said.
