YEREVAN, APRIL 10, ARMENPRESS.  The Russian Federation has called on Azerbaijan and Armenia to refrain from inciting tension in the region, the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, during the weekly press conference held on April 10, emphasizing that there are all the necessary mechanisms for ensuring peace and stable development in the South Caucasus.

 ‘’First of all, we are talking about the tripartite agreements of the parties, which were reached during the years 2020-2022. We consistently call on the parties to restore established cooperation in formats that have proven their effectiveness. From our side, we are always ready to provide the necessary practical support to Baku and Yerevan in the search for mutually acceptable solutions, including the Armenian-Azerbaijani border delimitation," said Zakharova, again asserting that the role of the West in the South Caucasus, as shown in other regions experience will lead to disastrous consequences.

According to Zakharova, any controversial issue should be resolved with a constructive approach, compromise, and the principle of responsibility, which were agreed upon in Tehran on October 23, 2023 during the meeting held in the "3+3" format.
