Biography
A special genre in the master's art is still-lifes with flowers, especially with her favourite lilac. Still-lifes with flowers represent the painter's fascination with form abundance and simplicity, as well as splendor of the material world. They include both garden flowers and fragile wild flowers. Her fondness of the world of flowers is reflected in all her works, and each flower's nature is conveyed with the means of painting art. Her generous soul, sincerity, natural talent, and great industry help Tamara Kharchenko to nobly serve true art.
Subjects of Tamara Kharchenko's landscape cycle are diverse. But her most sincere canvases include rural landscapes of Central Russia her native Tver Region with its simple rural motifs, water-worn roads, small rivers and groves, village huts, special level way of rural everyday life, and churches as an integral part of Russian landscapes. With her subtle understanding of nature, the artist intensifies and highlights her impressions of reality.
The master's works show different states of nature in different seasons and atmosphere of Russian landscapes like humid spring air, mellow autumn, summer meadow aromas, and midday forests filled with sunlight and air. Relying on sketches created from life and filled with fresh and ingenuous feelings, the author creates landscapes to think over and generalize what she has seen, and transform nature into a true harmonious artistic image.
