The Butler women's tennis team defeated Eastern Michigan 4-1 in Friday's match at the Butler Bubble. The Bulldogs have now won seven of their last eight matches and are now 7-3 overall in the spring season. 
 
Senior Natalie Boesing took on Daniella Shved in what resulted in a close 6-4, 6-3 win for Boesing in the No. 1 singles spot. In addition to Boesing's tight victory, fellow senior Delaney Schurhamer faced Prerna Vichare in an intense three-set match. Schurhamer clinched her win against Vichare with a 3-6, 6-2, 6-4 finish in the No. 2 singles spot. Norah Balthazor also defeated her opponent, Ksyusha Saenko in a 6-4, 6-3 win in the No. 4 singles spot. 
 
In doubles play, Jordan Schildcrout and Schruhamer played a close game against Sabina Brichackova and Saenko. Schildcrout and Schurhamer took home the win in a 6-4 finish. In addition, Balthazor and Lauren Cook beat Linda Eloundou and Andrea Quiroz in a close 6-4 win for the Bulldogs. 
 
The Butler women's tennis program will head up north to take on Valparaiso tomorrow afternoon.
