The Mowgli’s release new single, announce breakup

L.A. indie quintet the Mowgli’s on Friday released a new single — and with it announced that they are calling it quits after almost a decade.

“After much thought,” the band said in a statement posted to their social media, “we’ve collectively decided that this is a good time to step away from this chapter in our lives.”

Known for the exuberant pop-rock, the band — most recently, Joshua Hogan, Katie Jayne Earl, Matthew Di Panni, David Appelbaum and Andy Warren — released three albums: 2013’s “Waiting for the Dawn” (a remake of a self-released album from the year before), 2015’s “Kids in Love” and 2016’s “Where’d Your Weekend Go?” Since 2018, they’ve released an EP a year, including “Dizzyonatightrope” this past May.

They thanked their fans and followers in a letter, posted below the new song:
