Conference CompWood 2023 in Dresden
From 05 to 08 September, the "ECCOMAS Thematic conference on Computational Methods in Wood Mechanics" (CompWood2023) took place in Dresden. The main focus of this conference was the presentation of current research on the material behavior of wood and its modeling.
The research focus of CAM is mainly on the mechanical modeling of paper. Since paper consists of processed wood fibers, many overlaps with paper research were found at CompWood. Greta Kloppenburg therefore presented her research on microstructure modeling and characterization of paper there.
