Illinois High Times Cannabis Cup 2022 - Our Top 10 Indica Strains
We were able to send our team to participate in the Indica cup as a judge and here is our top 10 list. This list is subjective, and the opinion of our marketing team, and should not be confused with the official High Times Cannabis Cup results.
1. I-95 - Bedford Grow - Bedford grow really showed up this year for the indica cup. All three entries were beautiful, delicious and powerful. I-95 stands out among the competition for both the quality of the grow and the effects of the high. While this strain took 2nd in the official Indica Cup competition, it edges out some of our other favorites for our favorite Indica flower.

2. Guru 0 - Verano - In one word, delightful. Guru 0 has an incredibly intoxicating aroma that gives way to the flavor of one of the tastiest entries in the indica cup this year. Heavy notes of funky citrus were both unique and memorable. This strain also delivers a strongly uplifting high, that feels euphoric and focused before giving way to a mild feeling of relaxation.

3. Candied Lemons - Matter - This strain smelled like it's name, like sugary-sweet, candied lemons. This carried through it's flavor when smoked. The high is uplifting, yet deeply relaxing. I would definitely recommend this to somebody who wants a powerfully delicious citrusy strain.

4. Punch Breath - Bedford Grow- Punch breath from Bedford Grow was a stand out for both it's appearance, quality of the grow and it's effects. Absolutely stunning bud, with hues of dark green and purple coated in a thick coat of frosty trichomes and bright orange hairs. This strain delivered a powerful, relaxing high.

5. Brownie Scout - Rythm - Brownie Scout took 1st prize in this year's indica competition. This beautiful strain has well developed buds, a high THC content and mildly sedating effects. The flavor was lightly sweet and earthy, and the high was solid.

6. GMO - Aeriz - Aeriz consistently delivers some of the most beautiful buds grown in Illinois. GMO stood out in the indica cup as one of the best grown entries, with nicely developed bud structure, an abundance of trichomes and bright orange hairs, this one is a hit. The funky aroma could have been more intense considering it is a cultivar of GMO, but all around, excellent job.

7. Cherry Chem - Seed & Strain - Seed & Strain delivered a great strain with Cherry Chem. This one is the whole package. From it's deliciously intoxicating flavor and deeply relaxing high, Cherry Chem has it all. This is something I would definitely buy again.

8. LSD - NuEra - This strain packs a powerful punch. With the highest THC content in the Indica cup, this should come as no surprise. These small buds were coated in an abundance of trichomes. After a few minutes you can feel your focus fading as your body and mind sink into a deep state of relaxation. The flavor on this strain was more mild than you might expect, but the effects are a definite winner.

9. Peach Crescendo - Revolution Cannabis - Revolution had a couple good entries to the indica competition this year. Between the Peach Crescendo and the Sun Queen OG, it was hard to pick a favorite, but the Peach Crescendo was a delicious citrusy strain that we could not stop smoking. The flavor and aroma are incredible for those who enjoy a bold limonene flavor profile.

10. Blulato - Floracal Farms - Blulato has buds that are dense with minimal trichomes and light brown hairs. When ground up, a delicious aroma becomes apparent When smoked, there is a delicious flavor of diesel and kush. Blulato delivers a strong wave of relaxation almost instantly. This is accompanied by a nice uplift in mood that elevates into a hazy blissful feeling that borders on euphoria.
