If you’ve seen Alan Jackson on the road lately, you should have caught a glimpse of another cowboy on the tour, William Michael Morgan. He’s a Mississippi born, Nashville based country crooner. Morgan takes back the strong vocals, twangs and guitar strums of the heart of country music. You can hear the influence of the generation before him, with Alan Jackson, George Strait like melodies.
His first album, VINYL was released in 2016, with its first single “I Met A Girl” making it to number eight on the Hot Country Charts. The song was co-written by fellow country star, Sam Hunt. His current single, “Talking to a Girl” is also one Morgan co-wrote on, saying it sums up a season of his life.
Playing right in tune with his sound is Morgan’s look. You’ll only find this gent in his cowboy hat, cowboy attire, boots included. Morgan loves to share photos of his little girl, Presley, who he says inspires a lot of his music. It’s both refreshing and inspiring to see a newer artist emerge with a real country style.
