Description

KFK-EA4XA and related models are fairly standard rubber dome keyboards. One notable feature (shared with Mitsumi KPQ-E99ZC) is Mitsumi's (at the time) patent pending design for adjustable cable length, where the unused portion of the cable can be wrapped around pegs on the underside of the case.

The 1998 datasheet lists only the 104- and 105-key models, with DIN-5 being the standard connector and PS/2 the optional connector. A 2000 datasheet covers the USB version, and a 2002 datasheet gives the connector for the non-USB models as Mini-DIN-6.

The models are:

Connector 104-key 105-key 107-key 109-key
AT KFK-EA4XA KFK-EA5XA
PS/2 KFK-EA4XA KFK-EA5XA KFK-EA7XA KFK-EA9XA
USB KFK-EA4XB KFK-EA9XB

The four layouts available in 2002:

  • "BIG ENTER 104" (Asian 101 layout)
  • "STANDARD ENTER 105" (ISO layout)
  • "STANDARD ENTER 104" (ANSI layout)
  • "STANDARD ENTER 109" (JIS layout)

"Standard enter" refers to ISO/JIS and ANSI enter according to layout. No 107-key layout is depicted.
