Bishkek, April 8, 2022 / Kabar /. Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan Edil Baisalov, as part of his working trip to Geneva (Swiss Confederation), met with Director General of the International Organization for Migration (IOM) Antonio Vitorin.
The press service of the Cabinet of Ministers said that during the conversation, the sides discussed priority issues of bilateral cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and the International Organization for Migration, including those affecting the sphere of international migration policy, labor migration and the fight against human trafficking.
The deputy chairman of the Cabinet focused on the issue of expanding the geography of labor migration of Kyrgyz citizens. In particular, they discussed the promotion of new areas of labor migration to the countries of Europe and the Middle East.
In turn, the director general of the International Organization for Migration gave a positive assessment of the level of bilateral cooperation between the parties and noted his readiness to support initiatives that develop migration policy.
