A new batch of T-72MS "White Eagle" and BRDM-2 tanks handed over to the Serbian army

26

The Serbian army was replenished with Russian tanks and reconnaissance patrol vehicles. A new batch of military equipment arrived in the republic from Russia. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Defense of Serbia.

The solemn ceremony of the transfer of equipment took place on May 23 on the territory of the 3rd Mechanized Brigade of the Serbian Ground Forces in the city of Niš. In total, the Russian Ministry of Defense transferred 30 T-72MS and 30 BRDM-2MS tanks to the Serbian military department. All equipment was donated as military aid.

It is noted that before the transfer, the tanks and BRDM were modernized. When the equipment was delivered from Russia is not reported.

T-72MS "White Eagle" is equipped with a round-the-clock gunner's sight PN-72 "Sosna-U", a commander's round-the-clock panoramic sight PKP-72 "Falcon Eye" using a third-generation thermal imaging camera, automatic target tracking, chassis information control system, navigation system , a new cannon stabilizer, and a remote-controlled anti-aircraft machine gun. In this case, the dynamic protection "Contact-1" is not replaced.

Note that this is the second batch of ground armored vehicles transferred to the Serbs. In November last year, the Serbian army received 11 T-72MS "White Eagle" tanks and 10 BRDM-2 tanks. In total, from 2018 to the present, not counting tanks and BRDMs, Russia handed over to Serbia four Mi-35M helicopters, six MiG-29 fighters, three Mi-17V-5 helicopters, Pantsir-C1 anti-aircraft missile and cannon systems "(six complexes). The bulk of the military equipment was donated free of charge, for something Belgrade had to pay extra.

Perhaps this "battle for Serbia" would have been more unambiguously more successful in terms of free resources and our capabilities, had we not had "not closed fronts" in other areas - in Syria, in the Donbass.

What's the best? The engine is not modernized, the dynamic protection "Contact-1" is rather old. There is a new "Contact-72" on T3B5. Although against the neighbor-limitrophes, NATO's henchmen, it is quite enough.

A full-fledged panoramic sight with a thermal imager? Remote machine gun mount? The panorama is the most expensive part of the tank now and not the reactive armor blocks.

As I understand it, 16 year b 3 you have not seen yet? Externally, the new modification differs thanks to the additional modules of modern reactive armor "Relic" on the sides, hull and turret. "
In addition, the T-72B3M has an updated version of the Sosna-U sight, a digital ballistic computer and a panoramic sight at the vehicle commander's workplace.

      Hello.
      hi
I would say ... a strange modernization - where it is dense and where it is empty.
Of the undoubted advantages - the LONG-AWAITED panoramic viewer to the commander, but ... with an awkward attitude.

"White Eagle" is not quite an official name, it came from the first shows in 2012, but this is T-72BM1, Product 184-1MS, created on the theme "Breakthrough -2B".
Works are carried out by 61 BTRZ, Peter (Strelnya).
      Delivered to Nicaragua, Laos, Serbia.
      PN-72, Sosna-U,
      PKP-72, Hawkeye.
ACS, BIUS, improved stabilizer, closed ZPU, navigation, communication.
      APU DEA-10T (!!!).

Feature - ZPU placed on the commander's cupola REPLACE the observation devices of the commander, who "sees" only through PKP-72. Those. these are NOT "classic" commander's turrets with a closed ZPU.
Developed by OJSC "Special Design Bureau for Instrumentation and Automation".
      .........
Here is TO REFINE the T-72B3, installing the commander Panoramnik, a closed ZPU, the necessary APU and file the little things (such as the armored scopes of the scopes) - that would be a complete zer.gud. !!!
      good

When the memory of young Serbs no longer remembers the bombing of this country by NATO in 1999, the European Union and NATO will swallow up this pseudo-Russian enclave in the Balkans, they will still brainwash the Serbs for 20 years, as they are now being washed in Ukraine and goodbye brothers, by the way, a run-in of the Otpor youth movement, conceived by the Americans as the basis of young democrats for overthrowing the regimes in Eastern Europe was started with Serbia, they were also seen in Ukraine in 2014

As elsewhere, our young people now have very different opinions. We saw Serbs in Ukraine too, yeah, and not only in 2014, and not only from the Ukrainian side.

Perhaps - "not from Ukraine", there were much more Serbian volunteer internationalists.

What for? Serbia will still join NATO. If not today, then tomorrow ... Another party, another president will win the elections .. The country is in the center of the EU. The dependence is hundreds of times higher than that of the RF. Why supply a potential adversary for FREE again.

I do not think that Serbia - even in NATO will be our enemy .. Can you imagine the Serbian units fighting against us? Me not. The Serbs are the only ones in history who have never betrayed us. For - brothers. The real ones.

Come on... lol And the Serbs were not included in Yugoslavia? Will you tell us further or will you google it yourself? With Yugi, the OVD (which Yugi did not seem to be part of, but de facto) had the most tense relations.
Dinar - the only convertible currency of the socialist camp, as it were, resisted the ruble.

And - what? Was Yugoslavia our enemy? Yes - there were graters, but nothing more. They did not consider each other as an enemy.

They did not consider each other as an enemy.

Well, what's wrong, then we will fit into the UN for it, then we will squeeze out the airport, then we will throw up the equipment for free .. What would not be friends? But NATO will be 100%, and there, like the Musketeers.

And rightly so: the creation of a well-trained and armed group based on the Serbian army gives the Serbs protection and us - a motivated fist in the Balkans. soldier

In 20-30 years these same Serbs will pour slop over us, as now Poles, Bulgarians, Ukrainians, and so on. Why throw beads in front of pigs? There are the Americans, the richest country, and even so, free weapons are not scattered, and Russia let everyone distribute everything to Serbia, Syria, the Central African Republic, etc.

Something I didn't understand the figure of speech ... Does Russia supply something for free? And what to pay extra for?
