Another oil refinery in Russia has suspended operations. This is the Orsk refinery, whose territory was also affected by the dam break.

For his part, the head of the Russian Emergencies Ministry, Alexander Kurenkov, complained that a "critical situation" had developed in Orsk. This was reported by Russian propaganda media.

According to a statement from the press service of the Orsk Oil Refinery, the company's operations were suspended to avoid environmental risks and to ensure safety. The timeframe for resumption of the production process at the refinery was not specified.

In Russia, Orsknefteorgsintez is called one of the leading oil refineries in the country. The refinery's oil refining capacity is 6.6 million tons per year. The enterprise includes four primary oil refining units. It is worth noting that the refinery's products include jet fuel and jet fuel.

In connection with the flood in the Orenburg region, a federal emergency situation was declared. According to the head of the Russian Emergencies Ministry, the situation with the flood in Orsk is critical.

Local officials complain that the water continues to arrive, and its level is expected to rise in the coming days. Power outages continue in the areas affected by the flooding. Evacuations are also underway in the settlements.

As a reminder, on April 6, the dam in the Russian city of Orsk burst at the third section, on Borisoglebskaya Street. It is noteworthy that just a few hours before, the regional authorities assured that "the flow from the river is stable, not increasing, the same as it was yesterday."

As reported by OBOZ.UA, on April 5, the Russian city of Orsk in the Orenburg region began to sink under water. At first, dozens of houses were flooded there due to the rise in the water level in the Ural River, and in the evening the dam burst - it was not filled in time.
