In an upcoming episode of Fox’s new cop comedy, Brooklyn Nine-Nine, the Oz and Law & Order: SVU veteran (and mayhem-inducing star of many Allstate commercials) will guest-star as Warren Pembroke, who works for the Major Crimes Unit and has a rivalry with goofy-but-skilled detective Jake (Samberg). Other celebrities will pop up in early installments of the series as well. Fox has confirmed that rapper Kid Cudi (Scott Mescudi) will appear as a jewel thief in one episode. (The Hollywood Reporter first reported the news.) In addition, the first episode includes a cameo by SNL alum Fred Armisen. Created by Parks and Recreation executive producers Michael Schur and Dan Goor, Brooklyn Nine-Nine debuts Sept. 17.
