EW's editorial guidelines Published on November 5, 2013 08:07PM EST It’s a Childrens Hospital reunion: Comic-actor Rob Corddry is coming to ABC comedy series Trophy Wife in a guest star role. Corddry (Blades of Glory, Hot Tub Time Machine) will join his Adult Swim cast-mate Malin Akerman oh her freshman comedy series. He’ll play “Sensei Rick,” a martial arts instructor who runs a strip mall dojo that Pete (Bradley Whitford) takes his kids for karate lessons. Sensei Rick aggressive and confrontational teaching style conflicts with Pete’s idea of the boys learning discipline and integrity and it ultimately leads to a showdown between the two men. Trophy Wife has been a ratings underdog this season, though fans and critics say it deserves a bigger audience. ABC agrees, having invested in a full-season order. The comedy’s next episode airs tonight, but the Corddry episode hasn’t yet been scheduled.
