A talented Maltese actress, Vitorin Galea née Casha was born in Senglea and had to discontinue her secondary education because of the Second World War.

She began her acting career with the family's dramatic company at an early age. At 14 years of age, she stood in for a main actress in an operetta, her first major role. She acted with about 20 different dramatic companies.

Diversifying into acting for radio, in 1969, she was named Best Principal Actress. She also took part in several plays produced for Malta Television. Her film work includes appearances in "Pulp", "Christopher Columbus", "Can Heironymus Merkin Ever Forget Mercy Humppe and Find True Happiness?" and "Trenchcoat". Together with other well known actors, she formed part of the theatrical company Gunt. She interpreted the role of Karmena Abdilla 88 times in the play which was performed in several Maltese halls.

In 1983, Galea accompanied Johnny Navarro to Australia, where they performed shows in Sydney and Melbourne. She also took part regularly in plays, musicals, shows, radio plays and cabaret shows.

Galea also wrote comedies and musical for Maltese drama companies, insisting on sewing all the costumes required for the plays and musicals.

Married to Joseph Galea, they had one daughter, Norma Cristina, who also established a name in acting. Assisting her blind husband for years, Vitorin passed unexpectedly away at 66 years of age. Her husband died a few weeks later.
