Danse Society

The Danse Society are an English gothic rock band formed in 1980. They were originally active until 1987, but have since reformed in 2011.

1980 saw the release of their first single, “Clock”
Their debut album, Seduction, was released in 1982 and peaked at no. 3 on the UK indie chart. They released their second album, Heaven is Waiting, in 1983, and their third, Looking Through, in 1986.

All of the members except Vocalist Steve Rawlings left the band after the release of their third album.
In 1987, Rawlings released the single “Saturn Girl” under the name Society.
