The Sinach Live in Concert: 30 Years Celebration of Worship (SLIC30 2020), a celebration of the gospel music artiste cum minister, Osinachi Joseph popularly known by the stage name Sinach, 30 years of music ministry have been postponed.

The gospel minister and Gosgem, an interactive online platform that harnesses the gifts of talented Christian artists around the world and bridges the gap between a minister and the fanbase, in a statement, announced the postponement.

“Sinach Live in Concert 30 Years Celebration of Worship (SLIC30 2020) at Eko Hotel and Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos, has been shifted to 18th October 2020.

“Sinach loves her fans, it is for that reason this decision was made to ensure that everybody including our foreign team, guests, sponsors and the entire public are carried along to execute an excellent and world-class concert

Sinach thanks everyone who has already purchased tickets. Tickets purchased for the event are still valid and will be honoured on the rescheduled date,” the statement read in parts.

The concert, which was scheduled to hold at the Convention Center, Eko Hotel & Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos, on Sunday, March 22, from 4 pm has a new date of October 18, 2020.

The initial date, March 22, which is also ‘Mother’s Day’, was chosen to celebrate the positive impact of women and mothers around the world.

Over the years, Sinach Live Concert (SLIC) has delivered best-in-class worship experience in 85 countries, including Kenya, Dominica, South Africa, United States, Canada, Antigua & Barbuda, Trinidad and Tobago, Jamaica, Grenada, Uganda, Barbados, The British Virgin Islands, Zambia, Saint Maarten, the United Kingdom and India, attracting over 50,000 worshippers at each event.

Sinach, who is globally known for gospel hits songs including, Way Maker, I Know Who I Am, Great Are You Lord, Rejoice, He Did It Again, Precious Jesus, The Name of Jesus, This Is my Season, Awesome God, For This, I Stand Amazed, Simply Devoted and Jesus is Alive, will be performing live with other renowned gospel artistes from both within the country and beyond.

In 2017, the singer, songwriter, and senior worship leader at Loveworld (Christ Embassy) was inducted into the Bethlehem Hall of Fame, joining Dwayne Johnson, Pope Benedict XVI and a host of other internationally recognised celebrities on the listed.

On March 7, 2019, she became the first gospel singer from Nigeria to obtain over 100 million views of a single video on YouTube, and the third Nigerian to achieve that feat, next to Davido and Yemi Alade, who achieved the same feat in December 2018. She achieved the feat with her song, Way Maker, which has been covered by multiple Christian artists such as Michael W. Smith, Leeland, Bethel Music, and Mandisa.

In September 2019, Sinach became the first gospel artiste from Africa to tour India, headlining concerts with several thousand in attendance.
