Singer PEP continues 2023 splendid streak with new single “Money On Me”

Prezidor Ezemweghian Porbeni, better known as PEP in the music industry, has continued with his splendid streak in 2023 as he releases his third single of the year titled “Money On Me”. Right from the beginning of the year, the singer has made a strong statement of intent by reeling out two singles, “On A Wave” and “Buss It”.

With his latest single “Money On Me”, PEP has placed himself on the crest of happenings in the Nigerian music industry. “Money on Me” would be the fourth single from the US-based multifaceted single in 5 months. In November of 2022, he gave us a tip of the evolving iceberg with a song titled “BOP”.

“Money On Me” will be PEP’s first Afrobeats/Reggae genre of song as most of his songs could be classified as Hip-hop, Rap, Melodic Trap, and RnB. He describes himself as an eclectic music artist and without doubt, he has brought that to bear on this latest single.

“Money On Me is the third song I’ve released so far in 2023. This track has a totally different vibe for me. It’s my first Afrobeat/Reggae record. It’s a feel-good vibe about having money, flashy jewellery, high-fashion apparel, drinks and girls all over you. The beat instantly draws you in with the tempo and synths melody. The hook is very simple and catchy, so it’s easily repeated and memorable. So far it’s received a lot of great reviews, and almost 10 thousand streams on Spotify and counting. Definitely, 1 of my most fun records yet,” he says.

Since his interregnum of six years from 2016 to 2022, PEP has been flying high. His return to his childhood passion has been marked by back-to-back hits which speak of the mettle the music artist is made of. The numbers for him have not only been impressive but clearly indicative of what is yet to come from his stable.

“Since my return to music, I’ve released 3 new songs this year, namely; “On A Wave”, “Buss It” and “Money On Me”. All 3 have received great reviews. I’ve been able to garner over 100 thousand streams on Audiomack in 2 weeks of releasing “On A Wave” and “Buss It”. I’ve gone from having only 2 followers on Spotify to having 800 in just 4 months now. And I’ve been featured on several blog sites. I’ve written over 100 songs and only released about 10 per cent officially, so I’m dropping a lot of music this year and a few projects. Stay tuned, we are just getting started, he stated,” he declares with glee, showing that momentum is clearly working in his favour.

He began his musical journey in 2013 when he released a mixtape titled “PEP Rally”. In 2016 he released a series of singles which include “Morgan Freeman”, “Single”, “Rich By 30”, “Throw It” and “1st Place”.
