Each song is beautifully accompanied with a drawing by Chilean artist Nicolás Menay

All of us have those times in our lives when we find ourselves within a dark and daunting forest. This album has come together as a result of that feeling of being lost, empty and terrified. It has been inspired by literary and mythological descriptions of turmoil, of facing the unknown, of questioning the path we have chosen and of losing faith in the journey of our lives. The music and lyrics speak of the search for rebirth and of the progress humans can make during times of suffering. These songs are stories of life and sharing. Just like in Dante’s Divine Comedy, the pain we humans experience brings us to encounter new souls and to grow through sharing and listening, thus finding our light in the darkness.
Along with some of the original collaborators, there are precious new ones on this album who have helped me find  light in the darkness. This is also part of the reason for some of the different sounds in comparison to past albums.

Each song has been illustrated by Nicolas Minay a talented Chilean artist with an exquisite imagination and exceptional drawing skills.
Antonella Giuliano has captured all of the emotion with beautiful photos, especially of our recording sessions.
Rachel Komyate has helped to revise the lyrics and presentation.
A special thanks goes to Jon Perez and his label "In the Morning Side Records" for the invaluable support given to me during all these years.

Last but not least, as always, nature has been a great source of consolation and inspiration for me and so has my daughter Elettra, who always holds a special place in my world. I am honored to be allowed to explore life through her eyes at times, to see a glimpse of childhood, of colors, of paradise that for us grownups can be so easily forgotten.

I lie here alone I’m flooded with memories thinking of all the things that you’ve done to me All the beautiful moments the hell that you made me go through All the beautiful moments the hell that you made me go through The light in your smile the void, the hate in your eyes … I will carry on I will carry on The light in your smile the void, the hate in your eyes I will carry on I will carry on And day after day I’m stronger than before At times I plunge down, down I pull myself out, I won’t drown These waters are raging I’m learning that storms always pass These waters are raging I’m learning that storms always pass The void in your smile, the hate, the black in your eyes … I will carry on I will carry on The hell in your voice, the void, the black in your eyes yes, I’ll carry on I will carry on

Carousel 04:07
Running freely down the country roads, suddenly, a splendid vision I see! Fields of green wheat, swaying and turning turning and swaying, in the wind And as the wind turns, so the wheat turns, circles, spirals, straight lines And as the wind turns, so the wheat turns, circles, spirals, straight lines Canvas of green from mother nature, painted by the god of the wind Way up there, in the sky hawks are flying around, round and round in circles they fly And as the wind turns, so the wheat turns, circles, spirals, straight lines And as the wind turns, so the wheat turns, circles, spirals, straight lines Blossoming cherry trees losing their petals, swirling like snowflakes, they sprinkle the ground Suffering ceases and the ecstatic soul all at once, overfills with joy And as the wind turns, so the wheat turns, circles, spirals, straight lines And as the wind turns, so the wheat turns, circles, spirals, straight lines

Dandelion 04:44
Flourish in this body, and not in another your seed settled on this earth, could’ve flown away, but decided to rest here oh my dandelion delicate, white, gilded and plumed, living in hardship to your death A single existence Seeds fly away Oh my dandelion shaking your soft head under the sun dreaming of green waving fields simply enjoying your misery Oh my dandelion
6.
Once upon a time, a little girl, she happily ran so savage in life storyteller she was and imagined many strange worlds The child could not wait, could not wait to grow up she would become a dragon, not a beautiful butterfly She spent all her life, dreaming, wondering how it would be how it would feel to be a wonderful, colorful, flying, beautiful dragon with big, big wings, flying among, among the clouds, with big big claws for climbing high, far away, mountains
7.
Oh the scent of salty air by the seaside And of flowers blooming amidst jagged rocks Overlooking blue water, crystal clear so azure Like the never ending sky Splashing waves refresh my skin Glowing under blazing sun Reflecting off White temples In blinding splendor So the spirit of the great ones that came before Is revived in me now, and my heart spills over with Abundant serenity like the waters that are calm Underneath a wild storm, rolling through the deep sea There is only one road Only one, one road Unconditional love Each day is new Unconditional love No fear no rage Unconditional love Each day is new Unconditional love No fear no rage
8.
Where the sea meets the sand, there you splash, play and laugh You’re pure joy dancing in your fairytale world, free, you’re still free to live in your dreams
9.
Even as he is who seeth in a dream, And after dreaming the imprinted passion Remains, and to his mind the rest returns not, Even such am I, for almost utterly Ceases my vision, and distilleth yet Within my heart the sweetness born of it; Even thus the snow is in the sun unsealed, Even thus upon the wind in the light leaves Were the soothsayings of the Sibyl lost Qual è colüi che sognando vede, che dopo ’l sogno la passione impressa rimane, e l’altro a la mente non riede, cotal son io, ché quasi tutta cessa mia visïone, e ancor mi distilla nel core il dolce che nacque da essa. Così la neve al sol si disigilla; così al vento ne le foglie levi si perdea la sentenza di Sibilla and so, on the light leaves, beneath the wind, the oracles the Sibyl wrote were lost
