基本は昨はひとつ前
先は昨も含んで以前という意味ですが
前の週を言いたい時は主に一つ前の週のことを言いたい時、が多いせいなんじゃないかなと思います
昨日以外は昨の字は改まった時に使うので、覚えるのが面倒だったら、先が付く方を覚えるといいのかもしれません
