使役形は あ段+せる なので、「通わせる」が正しいのではないでしょうか?

「勉強嫌いな私だけど毎日塾に( )いる」
1.通って
2.通わせて
3.通わさせられて
4.通わされて
私は4番が使役受身だと思いましたけれど、3番が使役受身で、4番はただの受身なので、正解は3番だと聞きました… もともと3番は「通わせられて」が正しいと思いましたけれど…難しいですよね

I completely agree with you. I believe the right answer is 4 and we say 通わせられて, not 通わさせられて.

難しい…。正解は分かりませんが、「通わせる」も「通わさせる」も両方通じます。恐らくですが、「通わせる」だと使役の意味が薄いので(使役動詞の形にはなっている)、「無理やり通わせる」という意味を強調したい場合に、「通わせる」を更に使役動詞化し、「通わさせる」となるのだと思います。
したがって、「通わさせられる」は「通わせられる」よりも、話者の不満が強いことになると思います。ちなみにですが、「通わされる」も使役の受け身として普通に通じます…。結局、3つとも同じ意味で使われていますが、文法的には「通わさせられる」「通わせられる」の2つが正しいのでしょうか…。一部の動詞の活用は、日本人でも混乱することがありますが、これもその一つかと思います。
