A pair of Futura 2000‘s Nike Dunk High Pro SB “FLOM” has set a new record for the highest piece achieved for a Nike Dunk sneaker, fetching a whopping $63,000 USD at Sotheby’s “Cult Canvas” auction.

An acronym for “For Love of Money,” the sneaker was estimated to sell somewhere between $50,000 USD to $60,000 USD and is considered as one of, if not the rarest pair of Nike SBs. It was released in 2005 and only three of the 24 pairs created were raffled to the public; the remaining 21 were gifted to friends and family.

Sotheby’s “Cult Canvas” auction raked in a total of $129,150 USD and almost half of the eight lots sold were purchased by bidders between the ages of 20 and 30 years old. Over 180 bids were placed across the entire auction, with participants hailing from three continents and over 60 percent new to Sotheby’s.
