Recently, we hosted a dynamic workshop within NFDI4Energy project, focusing on the crucial involvement of policy and society in open research platforms. We pondered key questions such as the accessibility of energy model results to society and where societal involvement holds the most value in the research cycle.

Benjamin received his M.Sc. in Sports Science at KIT and grew into the field of Information Systems during his time as intern at Liebherr Aerospace GmbH as well as his master theses at Corvolution GmbH. His research focus on utilizing biosignals in adaptive systems to improve productivity and health at the workplace. Further he is associated member of KD²school and HAPS.

MoreOur IISM team members, Kim K. Miskiw and Alexander Grote, had the honour of presenting their research in Honolulu, Hawaii. Kim gave a talk on the topic "Multi Power Market Bidding: Stochastic Programming and Reinforcement Learning" (available here), while Alex presented his work on "The Positive Impact of Metric Learning on Open Set Nearest Neighbour Classification" (available here). Both PhD students received valuable feedback and enjoyed the fruitful discussions.

Tobias Gölbel’s paper, “Developing Blockchain-enabled Marketplace Interfaces: A Design Science Research Study” was nominated for a Best Paper Award. Felix Sterk’s “paper “Reallocating Uncertainty in Incumbent Firms through Digital Platforms: The Case of Google’s Automotive Ecosystem Involvement” was also presented and well received at the conference.

Elisabeth macht ihre Ausbildung zur Kauffrau für Büromanagement und Kim zum Kaufmann für IT-Systemmanagement.
In Zeiten großer Herausforderungen sollen die Stärke und die Widerstandsfähigkeit unserer Demokratie in den Fokus gestellt und gemeinsam diskutiert werden, wie partizipative Lösungsansätze in Hinblick auf diese Herausforderungen genutzt weerden können. Ein Highlight, das wir als HoP am Abend des 15.09.2023 (ab 18 Uhr) in den Räumen der Triangel organisieren, ist die Podiumsdiskussion „Herausforderungen digitaler Demokratie“.
