Farm Rio: Social Commerce Campaign Launching

18 Jul

One of my favorite apparel brands in Brazil is called Farm Rio (check here). It was born in a flea market in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, and now became one of the most popular brands among young people, with stores in sixteen states of the country. Farm is also one of the pioneers in Brazil to have an ecommerce website that delivers the brand women’s garments and accessories for the whole country.

To launch it new campaign, called “Que Beleza – Primavera para sempre”, that means “how beautiful – spring forever”, Farm did a great job broadcasting all the news about the party launching on it blog (http://www.farmrio.com.br/adoro) Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/adorofarm), and Twitter (http://twitter.com/adorofarm).  First, Farm did one of it “adoro mimos” (love caress) to gift two of it customers to be invited for the launching party, which would also celebrate the fifteen anniversary of the brand. The party events occurred during Saturday and Sunday, and almost hourly new posts about it were published in Facebook and Twitter, while the blog posted a summary about the events, showing some details about the party and the new collection. For the grand finale, on Sunday at midnight many pieces from the new collection were placed for sale in their ecommerce website (http://farmrio.com.br/). It was a great social media marketing that instigated customers to see the new pieces of the “Que Beleza”. Well done Farm!

Wow! Cute stuff huh? I am very impressed with Brazil and their gorgeous people (and products) =) . That is a great find! It’s always cool to see how international stores and brands use social media in terms of going “international” and reaching markets over seas.
