Institut Teknologi PLN Organizes Professional Development Program (PDP)

Jakarta, March 5, 2024 – Institut Teknologi PLN (ITPLN) reaffirms its commitment to enhancing the quality of its educators by organizing the Professional Development Program (PDP) from March 4th to March 8th, 2024. The PDP, held in collaboration with the PLN Education and Welfare Foundation (YPK), took place at the Graduate Campus Building of ITPLN in Lebak Bulus, Jakarta. The program was specifically designed for ITPLN lecturers to deepen their knowledge and skills in the fields of education and technology.

The opening ceremony of the PDP was attended by the Chairman of the Yayasan Pendidikan dan Kesejaterahan PLN (YPK) , Supriyadi, along with the management board, ITPLN Rector Prof. Dr. Ir. Iwa Garniwa M K., MT, and Vice Rectors, as well as the Head of the Rectorate Bureau.

Lecturers from various study programs at ITPLN participated in a series of workshops, seminars, and discussions facilitated by experts in their respective fields. The topics covered included innovative teaching strategies, technology integration in learning, as well as the enhancement of managerial skills and leadership. A total of 31 lecturers participated in the PDP program.

In his address, Supriyadi stated, “This is the first batch of the PDP program, and it is expected that ITPLN will continue to advance further. This is one of the transformative efforts undertaken by ITPLN, which is committed to becoming a university that excels in producing human resources in the field of energy.”

Meanwhile, Prof. Iwa mentioned, “The PDP activity is a tangible manifestation of ITPLN’s commitment to continuously improve the competence of lecturers to deliver high-quality education in line with the latest developments in technology and energy.”

Furthermore, the program provided a platform for lecturers to share experiences, best practices, and effective teaching strategies. It is expected that this will foster collaboration among lecturers and enhance the overall quality of education at ITPLN.

“With our vision to become a world-class university and this being a commendable program between ITPLN and the PLN Education and Welfare Foundation, we believe that this activity will greatly contribute to the professional development and teaching quality of our lecturers,” added Prof. Iwa.

The PDP initiative is seen as the initial step in strengthening the capacity of ITPLN lecturers to produce competent graduates who are ready to compete in the ever-evolving energy industry.
