to do (the polite form of する)
You use いたす to say that you yourself will do something.
“itasu” can be translated from Japanese to mean “do in a modest sense ” in English.
The Japanese kanji for “itasu” is 致す.
する => いたします
お/ご + Verb-stem + いたします
すぐにお席にご案内致します。
Sugu ni o seki ni go an’nai itashimasu.
I will guide you to your table immediately.
本日の会議はもう終了致しました。
Honjitsu no kaigi wa mō shūryō itashimashita.
The conference today was over.
この仕事しごとはわたしがいたします。
Kono shigoto wa watashi ga itashimasu.
I’ll do this job.
お席せきにご案内あんないいたします。
oseki ni goannai itashimasu.
I’ll take you to your seat.
荷物にもつはわたしが来週らいしゅうの月曜日げつようびにお届とどけいたします。
Nimotsu wa watashi ga raishuu no getsuyoubi ni otodoke itashimasu.
I’ll send the luggage next Monday.
