The giant sea spider proboscis (Nymphon pixellae) is shown in the photo sketch below. The mouth is located at the end of the proboscis. The eyes (ocular tubercle) are also interesting and shown in the photo sketch. Giant sea spiders can grow to 1.5 inches (3.5 cm) across, with a range from British Columbia to Mexico.
