Siced!!!! FUTURE|MONEY grant applications are open. When we started down this road on designing this grant l I wanted to be sure that we provided substantive resources to artists to create and the space to exhibit, no hoops & untethered so that in turn the work could acts as a catalyst in the technology space, because art and tech inform one another. We’ve assembled a panel of jurors across multiple disciplines and are looking forward to the work that will be submitted.

I created the portmanteau Inti/vation to represent where intention and innovation intersect with the idea that when intention exists within the creative core it acts as a catalyst for empathy to evoke positive human reaction. The ILF for me represents an entity that embodies this idea as they have been advocates for promoting innovation, creativity, and inclusion. They have been consistent partners for creatives in a variety of industries, providing support and resources, fostering community and standing as a beacon of what true empathy looks like in technology.

FUTURE|MONEY, the first grant opportunity for 2023, seeks artists of any discipline to reimagine outdated financial systems that currently exclude 1.7 billion people from accessing essential services to make and receive payments. I was severely depressed about 6 months before this moment. I love this video. @dlproduces had the vision @maybetimmyburton is one of the best DPs i’ve had the good fortune of working with, becaue making Orlando look like Miami with the Chuck E. Cheese jonts cranking i the back miming the vocals is a whole epic moment. Chapter 2 of “You Are Ketchup: and other fly music tales” is aptly entitled Robots & Dinosaurs, i touch on my mental health at that time, my frustration with the music business and the words from a child that gave me perspective and a mission. #tbt once upon a time in the way back machine. there were 3 of us who met in 4th grade, Ms. Hamer’s class at Patterson. Steve lived off Joliet, Kenny lived on Bolling. We pushed each other to achieve more, to be smarter, to survive. These are my earliest and closest friends. we lost Steve (a brilliant black kid and the only one i knew who played tennis aside from Arthur Ashe) a few years ago.
