Music Monday: Fréro Delavega

Jérémy Frérot and Florian Delavega are best known as the French duo Fréro Delavega, a pop-folk group that participated on France’s version of The Voice in 2014. After being eliminated in the quarterfinals, they released their self-titled album (which went triple platinum), and in 2015 released Des ombres et des lumières.

I don’t remember how I heard about them but I really fell in love with their chill guitar instrumentations and harmonies, and their relaxed, beachy vibe that reminded me of some of the indie bands of my early twenties.  You can listen to one of my favorite songs in the clip below.

Sadly, Fréro Delavega just performed their last concert ever at Place de Quinconces in Bordeaux on June 10th, 2017 and are going their separate ways. I’m a little bummed that I didn’t become a fan of their until last year, but I am currently listening to them as part of my summer soundtrack, and am glad their music will at least live on in the iTunes store and on YouTube!
