This beautiful hotel in the heart of Madrid is close to the action in the heart of the city yet offers quiet interior rooms upon request. This was unquestionably our favorite shower in Spain. Anyone and everyone who works at the front desk is incredibly helpful and friendly!
Unfortunately, the pillows are flimsy, and the mattresses do not offer good support. So this was our only hotel in all of Spain at which we struggled to get a good night's sleep.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - S L.Walnut Creek, CA016Sep 24, 2022
Great hotel! We stayed for 14 nights and had a wonderful time. The staff are all very nice and work very hard. The hotel is extremely clean. The housekeeping staff really do an outstanding job. We loved our room on the 8th floor with the balconies.
Great mattress and clean and crisp ironed sheets. Good body pillows too.
Excellent breakfast options. I loved the coffee machines and the eggs. Fantastic views and location.
The rooftop terraces are great. Special thanks to Rocio, Arturo, Ray and Alvaro for making our stay a memorable one. We will definitely be back.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Feb 28, 2018
Just returned from our stay at Hotel Atlantico. The hotel is in the perfect location on the Gran Via. You can walk to anything around the city which was great. Since traffic is really bad in the city, it definitely saved a lot of time being able to walk to everything rather than sitting in cabs in traffic and wasting time while racking up fees.
The hotel and our room was very clean and our room was spacious. The hotel staff was pleasant and was willing to help guests. They assisted us in making a reservation, and confirmed our shuttle pick-up for our departure.
I don't have any complaints about our stay here, and I would definitely stay here again if I find myself in Madrid.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Feb 20, 2019
4 star Hotel located right on the "Times Square" of Madrid called the Grand Via. You'll know it immediately b/c of its bright blue vertical neon lights. It is right by the Primark and malls and in the busiest part of Madrid. You are about 2mins from the iconic blue gold dome that is the face of Madrid. 10-15 min walk from the Real Madrid Palace. About 15-17 mins from the Prado Museum. 10-12 min from the El Rastro Market (definitely go if it's a Sunday in your visit), 5 min uber/ taxi from the Madrid Atacho Train Station to get out to the other towns, about 20 mins from the Airport.
Front door and service was friendly and helpful. There is a coffee bar upstairs. There is a buffet breakfast for 12 euros- the hot water machine/coffee machine is open access 24 hours for those who want to drink hot tea at night.
Only thing is, our original room had out of control heater on. We were super thirsty and dried out 2 hours into our evening and had to turn on the AC to balance out the humidity. So if you're someone sensitive to heat/dryness, do not hesitate to change rooms out if you don't want to roast to Iberian ham by the next morning.
Rooms were elegant and reminded me of a palace- old school red carpets in the hallways, mirror paneled and elegant bathrooms, large beds, old school classical interiors.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Jan 9, 2015
This is a great hotel located in the heart of Madrid. Because it's on a main thoroughfare, there are a ton of people constantly passing by! We asked for a quiet room and were given one on the courtyard, which was quite nice.
Compared to many European hotels, the rooms are good sized. The bathroom is small, but that is to be expected, and it had a bidet, for those of you who are into them.
They have a bar on the top floor which is quite small inside but has a beautiful patio. We met a number of fun people there, both regulars and first-time tourists. It's a great spot!Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - R S.Falls Church, VA39336Dec 26, 2019
We stayed at the Hotel Atlantico for 3 nights in December. Definitely a great spot. Super convenient location, walkable to all of the amazing sights in Madrid.
Our group got two rooms -- both very spacious. Desk, small table, end tables, HUGE closet. The bathroom was also big, and sparkling clean.
I loved the breakfast buffet -- very affordable for 12€ per person. A great selection of eggs, meats, cheeses, breads, pastries and fruits. Also coffee and tea. The lounge on the 9th floor was also amazing! Definitely check out Gran Via from up high.
The staff is good, not overly solicitous. Our rooms were ready when we checked in post-red eye which was a dream.
I knocked a star off because the walls are thin and you can hear loud folks from neighboring rooms, the hallways and upstairs. If you are a light sleeper, this may be bothersome. Also, our rooms faced a small dark courtyard, so not much in the way of natural light.
Regardless, I definitely recommend if you are in Madrid!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Katherine C.Weehawken, NJ161287116Nov 5, 2018
Loved our stay at Hotel Atlantico! Staff all spoke English and the subway was super close so we took that everywhere!
We checked in without a problem. Our room and bathroom was very clean. Great lighting!
Our room came with a balcony but it's useless because there aren't chairs/tables out there and it over looks a clothing store.
Tons of clothing stores around this hotel, Starbucks right across the street (for us, Americans..ha), and area is safe.
Definitely recommend this hotel to all in search of a place in Madrid! And Takos Al Pastor is a MUST if you're in Madrid!Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - David K.Manhattan, NY2753321Dec 27, 2018
Loved this place. Rooms were large and super clean. Bathrooms the same. Bed was very comfortable. Staff was very nice and spoke English. Location was also amazing. We were close to everything and can walk anywhere within 20 minutes. Alternatively there are plenty of cabs and the metro close by. There was street noise when I had the balcony doors open which wasn't a problem for me as I like it.
I didn't eat at the breakfast as I slept late every day.
Highly recommend this hotel. Classy all the way.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Jessica P.Rancho Cucamonga, CA13614Jun 19, 2020
We loved our stay at the Atlantico! Right on Gran Via, and the subway so you are close to everything. We had a small balcony and it was wonderful to see the street performers! There are shuttered windows that block out all sunlight so you can definitely sleep in if you like as well. The staff was wonderful and we enjoyed sangria and olives on the balcony. There is also shopping along the Grand via if you need anything or just like to shop!

Awesome surprise!
Great location, centrally located from most tourist spots. We didn't hop in a cab or train once!
Hotel was very spacious, clean and well decorated.
Heads up- the breakfast is not free, they will charge the room. And the TV only has the news in English so bring a tablet or laptop if you want to relax.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0
