It's in a small shop off of Broad.
We ordered at the small counter, the kimbaps out on display is what they have for the day. No freshly made Kimbap at all.
They were out if the spicy tuna kimbap.
We ordered a tuna, fish cake, veggie (burdock), jalapeño (pickled) and cheese Kimbap roll and a cooked corn for $32. Out of the spicy tuna already.
The veggie (burdock) was okay, not my favorite.
The jalapeño has a nice natural kick to it, good heat and pickled flavoring to the roll.
The tuna is my preferred roll, the fish cake, and the cheese are all pretty good as well. The tuna was my favorite out of all of the rolls.
The corn is quite odd, has a glutinous taste to it, it doesn't taste like a corn to me at all. It wasn't good to me at all. Skip the corn.
It's a decent spot to grab some to-go ready to eat Kimbap.Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 3Oh no 0 - Christopher P.Palisades Park, NJ462134Sep 22, 2023
My first visit to this place left me thoroughly impressed. I tried the spicy tuna kimbob (my second favorite type) and the one with jalapenos. The staff at Kimbob Club were incredibly friendly, and you can really taste the difference when you know the people preparing the food are genuinely good-hearted.
They were also very helpful in assisting me choose which one I wanted, which is perfect for those who do not speak or understand Korean. Rolls are accessible for everyone! The spot is cozy and cute, and since it's a takeout spot, I appreciate the quick pick-up and go process. It's perfect for those heading to work, experiencing sudden hunger pangs, or those who want to dash in and out before getting a parking ticket :).
I apologize, but I have to rate this place a 4. I wish I could give it a 5, but there are a few other kimbob places nearby that I also adore. However, if I ever see the spicy tuna with perilla leaf (my absolute favorite, although it seems rare), that might just tip the scale to a 5. Regardless, I encourage you to give this place a try. Great food and wonderful people!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Andy P.New York, NY1815594Dec 4, 2023
Literally my favorite mandoo in NJ/NY, and I'll die on this hill. My family buys a bunch of them every single time we have a gathering. Thank you, Kimbob Club!!

Small shop run by mother and daughter selling Korean rice rolls (kimbob). They have a good variety but sometimes sell out of the more popular rolls quickly. My go to their squid roll. They offer free soup if you ask for it during the colder seasons. Price has increase slightly since the pandemic but so has everything else. Worth trying the next time you are in this area.

The kimbabs are so yummy! I tried them all. My favorites are jalapeño, spicy squid, woo-ung ones!

It seems that the quality & service of kimbab has decreased.
The price... now during or should I say after the major pandemic.... has increased too. $7.
The soup is no longer provided because it's summer... the soup may go bad in this heat.
The rice seemed dry.
Roll seemed thin.
I have decided to frequent other place- Mocha cafe ... yes, a cafe but that sells kimbab too ^^ Should try the Wasabi Tuna kimbab there.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 1Nov 29, 2019Previous reviewKimbab - Gimbab
However you want to call it or spell it, this place Kimbob Club specializes in kimbab. It is a very small mom & pop store for take-out only.
The average price is $6 per roll, and the selection is quite various - spam, veggie, tuna, spicy tuna, spicy squid, cheese, beef (bulgogi), spicy grilled pork, etc.
Some will be sold out if you visit after lunch time, and they close at 4:30 pm on weekdays.
They do catering too. - SooMin K.Matawan, NJ46718Jun 28, 2023

After reading some reviews, I was so looking forward to try this place. Upon arriving here, I am sad to say that I am disappointed. I ordered beef and tuna kimbob. I would say for the price it is definitely not worth it. The toppings tasted okay and it did not really give me a wow factor. The service was also not great. I felt like I was being rushed when I was ordering and I was the only person in the restaurant. I would suggest that if you were craving a quick Korean snack, there are others options down the street that are available.

This place has the best kimbap in the area. I've tried several and I prefer this place. Everything is sooooo good. The spicy squid or octopus is sooooo good! The bulgogi and spicy pork, the tuna.. it's all really yummy! They also don't over stuff it with rice. Ratio is great!
