When I make an appt when do I get the text of confirmation? I made an appointment over the phone earlier and was told I would receive a text but I haven't received anything yet?
A:
Once the appt is booked you should receive the confirmation text/email immediately there after. If you still have not received either, please call us. 916-444-2136

I saw Leah for a full balayage, and I am SO HAPPY with my hair. She did an incredible job with the lightener placement and tone and was incredibly attentive to my needs from the consultation process all the way through the end of the service. Leah is also very sweet and created a wonderful vibe. I am now a forever client!

This was my first time to Mecca Salon but definitely not my last. First, the salon is extremely cute, and I was immediately greeted with not only a welcome, but also asked if I wanted something to drink. I appreciate the fact that they were attentive to my scheduled appointment time and kept me up to date as Heidi was running a few minutes behind. If you want excellent customer service, come to Mecca Salon.
Now, for Heidi my stylist, I had not had anything done to my hair in 2 years and Heidi listened to what style and color I was looking for, she was knowledgeable and nothing short of amazing! My hair came out beautiful, love the cut and more important the color! You want someone who listens to what you want and definitely delivers, Heidi is the stylist for you.

Came in a month ago. Been waiting to see how the color faded before leaving a review. My normal place is in Pleasanton, but having a one year old and being pregnant makes the drive difficult so I decided to try a new spot.
From posts I saw Heidi has done red hair color so I decided to book an appointment with her.
She came in at the time of the appointment and then had to get ready/ set up. It was fine- I wasn't in a rush.
We had a consultation where I said I wanted all over color and would prefer it to be a little lighter. She told me with my roots being so dark we wouldn't be able to get it lighter and I was fine with that. She made me sign a quote before she started service.
When she started my hair she started under the root and I thought she might have to do a slightly different color on the roots so I didn't think much of it. She then started putting the plastic cap on my head for processing and I asked why she wasn't doing my roots. She told me they don't do roots with a semi permanent and I was baffled because there was no mention of semi permanent. I've always asked for all over color and get permanent.
She said she could fix it by putting permanent color over and as she was walking away said I would be charged for the additional color. When she came back after mixing color she said she assumed I wanted semi permanent because I said "lighter" color during the consultation and semi permanent washes out faster.
I was so confused... why would I want the color to have brown roots, red hair, and for it to wash out faster?? I feel like she should have covered this during the consultation instead of assuming and charging me an extra $50 for her mistake.
The color came out nice. The cut was pretty good, I do like my normal person more.
It was over $300 for my service plus tip. The color was nice and she was nice, it just sucks I had to pay extra for a mistake she made. Plus her reasoning just didn't make sense to me.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Business owner information

This is my first time getting my hair done by Leah and she did an awesome job! I read through reviews and found Leah's instagram (leahdidmyhair) that showcased some of the work she has done and knew I had to give her a try. I am so glad I did! She took the time to listen to what I wanted and was realistic on what could be achieved without damaging my hair. She did a comprehensive consultation and was upfront about the cost before beginning on my hair. She even suggested ways that I could achieve the results I wanted but without extra charges! Thank you Leah :)

Business owner said my visit was unexpected but I was scheduled to come in the next day. Monica did know my earring was there and even said this incident had happened before and she even commented she should have taped it down after the fact. Business owner did not entertain each avenue possible to solve the issues they caused. Business owner says stylists err on side did caution and were thorough but does not address why I received incomplete services in the first place. Business owner and manager Brooke have proven to be disrespectful and raise question to their integrity, expertise, and professionalism.
Ripped cartilage piercing out during styling by stylist Monica Delello, over 6 hour appointment, incomplete service, dismissal from staff upon concerns voiced.
Toner: Monica Dellelo who was familiar with my hair and highlight request months before was to touch up my roots but instead charged for another full head of highlights and used different bleach for my root resulting in gray/white hair appearance from the root. Monica took six hours on my hair and even styled it and dried it but then placed toner 3 different times on my hair causing my scalp to become itchy and irritated and my hair to grow damaged from all of the chemicals and heat concentrated into one short time frame.
Incomplete service: Monica sent me home with conditioner in my hair and my hair wet and in a half ass braid into the cold night. I got home and rinsed out the conditioner as directed by Monica. The next morning I tried to style my hair to see the color to see the roots are white and gray and even green in some parts.
Dismissal of concern: I called Mecca salon and I voiced the above concerns and they told me to come in later that day but Brooke and Caitlyn were quite flippant with my concerns. Upon arriving at the salon the next day, Monica Delello was unconcerned with my unexpected arrival for a second day and did not approach me and my concerns. Brooke requested photos of mh hair but never followed up with me. Perceiving these signs as clear dismissal, I felt it was best not to remain in the care of this indifferent staff and request a partial refund and compensation for my piercing being ripped out of my ear. Hello Chloe, We are sorry to hear that you were not satisfied with the hair service that you received. At our salon, we strive to provide the best possible experience for our clients, and we understand that everyone's hair is unique and requires personalized attention.
We would like to touch on a few points you made. Monica would never intentionally "rip" a client's earring out, it was sheerly an
accident that was never meant to happen. Anytime you're having your balayage or highlights touched up it will either be a partial or full service, during your consultation you opted for a full highlight. While we understand a 6-hour hair appt may be longer than you anticipated, Monica wanted to make sure you got a thorough service. Our stylists will always err on the side of caution when performing services and will never do anything that would intentionally jeopardize the integrity of your hair. When you arrived at the salon the next day unexpectedly, Monica was not able to do more than say hi due to her having another client in her chair. We didn't expect you until your scheduled time of 1:30pm. We wanted nothing more than to amicably handle this situation so all parties involved were happy, especially you. We have made every attempt to find a solution for this and are saddened that our relationship ended the way it did. We wish you the best of luck with your hair journey. - May 16, 20234 check-ins
I came in for a trim and gloss treatment with Jody. She did an amazing job at getting my hair looking healthy and shiny! I enjoyed getting to know her;
we had great conversations! She gave me some good advice on how to help keep my hair healthy!

Heidi is a miracle worker. I'm new to the area and had my hair completely botched by another salon (literally orange stripes everywhere). I called and spoke with Brooke who was really nice and she had me send in photos of the botched job and what my hair normally looks like. Thankfully I was able to get in with Heidi the very next day for a color correction and she was able to get rid of all the orange, bring back my blonde and blend my roots back. I can't thank her enough for her attention to detail and for using multiple colors and toners to get my hair back to normal and looking great. She took her time and was really nice throughout the whole process. She exceeded my expectations for the color correction. I couldn't recommend this salon enough, I will definitely be back.

Never disappointed with the quality of work from the stylists at Mecca. I have had my hair cut by Devonny and Angelica. They are both amazing and know what they are doing!! I don't color or bleach my hair so it's just a good ol' cut and style for me. Today Angelica recommended some extra layers and I love how my hair came out! I am always offered water, wine, or beer when I come in which is nice. The vibe is always super laid-back and relaxed with some good music to top it off. I love that they are located downtown and that their aesthetic is very eclectic. I would definitely recommend Mecca to anyone looking for a new salon to try out.

The manager was great at listening and getting us in for an appointment. When we got there the stylist - Heidi - did not feel "comfortable" taking on the color and cut. My sister-in-law had been looking forward to a well deserved refresh for months. She has plans for mother's day and upcoming travel and wanted to look extra special. Even after being flexible about what she wanted, Heidi still did not take her as a client. I've never seen that happen before and can't help but to think it was because my sister-n-law is Muslim, was wearing hijab and could not speak English. This was really not right. What could have been an amazing experience getting ready for a special weekend ended up ruining her plans without enough time to get something else done.

Hello Khoban, we were disappointed to read your review and want to assure you that we do not discriminate against any individual based on their religious beliefs. We believe in providing a welcoming and inclusive environment for all of our clients. In certain situations, we may need to decline services if we deem the stylist is not the right fit for what the client is looking for. Your sister-in-law had expectations Heidi felt could quite likely not be met with one session and felt it was in the clients best interest to be seen by another stylist. Heidi's number one goal is providing a quality service and an exceptional client experience. If she feels either of those might be compromised, then turning the client away is the best solution.
