Old Navy Outlet

The Old Navy Outlet store has been really hit or miss for me in the past. I stopped by recently because I hadn't been in a while and just wanted to browse.

Two things of note immediately:
1) is there ANY organization to this store?, because it sure doesn't seem like it, and...
2) it had a real post-Black Friday feel to it with clothing and accessories discarded in piles everywhere. I don't blame the staff for that necessarily, as I watched loads of customers literally abandoned piles of stuff wherever they wanted when they realized, I guess, they didn't actually want to buy them. Also, another reviewer mentioned the lack of staff at the Fitting Rooms; this actually felt very normal (at least it is in other parts of the world from what I've experienced) , so I appreciated just being able to help myself to a room whenever I wanted (...granted, they were also messy with customer's deserted stuff).

In the end, on this particular occasion, I left with two items: a very cute, white sweater with golden sparkly thread AND a fantastic little black dress. Pricetag? Under $50. And the person at the cash register was SO friendly and engaging; she gave me an enormous brown paper bag for free when she saw I had been toting around all my Kitchen Store Outlet stuff in my arms.

I don't know that I'm rushing back here anytime soon, but if I'm in the area and I've got the time to explore, I'd come back to see what gems might find me! But I wouldn't come back intentionally looking for a specific item.

Each time my wife and I go here, it begins to look more and more like a Khol's store as they pile everything into their racks and displays and no one bothers to walk around and fix it to make the appearance be more presentable.

They have a large selection of items, but I couldn't find a button up shirt for my step-son. You would think button-ups would be a common items to find and not a single one. I found 32 options for sweaters and 40 options for sweatshirts, but not a single button up shirt.

The staff is non-existent around the fitting room, so customers are always having to go find someone to unlock a door. The value of some of the items is reasonable, when it's on sale, but the headache of having to sort through unorganized sizes and color is just not worth it in my mind.

This afternoon my wife and I were out shopping for Holiday gifts. We decided to stop at Old Navy to check out the deals on leggings and sweaters. We found the legging quickly and discovered that they were 40% off. Another nice surprise.

Too much crap in the way. Don't go here if you are in a wheelchair or on crutches or larger than a size 2. They have tried to shove so much stuff in here that you can't move. Perhaps if they took out a couple racks they would sell more because you would be able to see the clothes. Perhaps they should have the GM manage the floor and not ring a register. Maybe if he tried walking through the store he would see how unsafe and uncomfortable it is.

Men: Beware, if you need a leather belt! You won't get real leather here. You'll get Synthetic Leather!! It sticks to the pants, does not slide thru the loops as you would expect. Very disappointed!!

This is basically a regular Old Navy store with slightly better deals. The clothes are the same as what you can find at a regular store. Normal non-outlet Old Navy stores regularly have 30% off sales, so the 40% off deals you get here are decent but only a bit better than what the normal stores offer. I don't think it's worth a trip to Freeport specifically to go to this location, but it's not bad or anything. It's a big store so there's a lot to choose from.

Great store. A lot of clothing at reasonable prices as well as a large clearance section. Spent too much money here.
