Switching to a new PCP because of insurance changes, my first visit with Optum Scottsdale was to insure that I do not run out of prescribed medications. One of my medications needed a refill ASAP and the Dr agreed to expedite the order.
Two weeks later, I got a letter from the pharmacy telling me to have my Dr. contact them. I relayed that to Optum Scottsdale, reminding them that my prescription had now run out.
Another week has gone by and I get another letter from my pharmacy asking me to have the Dr. call them.
So, I've been without Diabetes medicine for a month apparently because the Dr. Office isn't talking to the pharmacy. And, there is no estimate on when my required prescription will be filled and delivered.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Anderson Appliance H.Scottsdale, AZ03Dec 14, 2023
Tiffany in the Referrals Department was super sweet and expedited an emergency referral within less than an hour! I had an appointment scheduled and the specialist's office called the evening before to advise that I needed a referral from my PCP. Because of Tiffany's fast response, I didn't have to cancel my appointment so she saved the day!!! Many thanks, Tiffany!

I am confused as to why Primary Care Physicians, not specialists mind you where I understand important to make appointments months in advance, are booked months in advance during the season? For people that may or may not be sick at that time so booking in advance just in case ? I have no idea? Used to be when you were sick that you would call a doctor and get in ASAP.

I have been a patient of Dr. Brewster for YEARS. He and the staff always made feel confident and cared for.
Now, I can't even make an appointment without being on hold for over an hour. I can't imagine trying to reach out awaiting lab results or just having a question.
4C ruined Scottsdale Family Medicine.
Now I'm going Doctor shopping. So disappointing.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Business owner information

A GOOD physician will often refer to their notes or charts, and generally will provide a patient with a reasonable diagnosis and will some recommendations.
A GREAT physician is always proactive, knows quite a lot regarding each patient's medical history (usually before they review their notes or charts), provides several options embracing integrative medicine, is precise and uses examples, thoroughly explains medical advise, all in a carefully arranged effort to improve your health.
This would describe Dr. Paul Babey, MD, part of the 4C Group on 64th Street and Greenway Avenue. Dr. Babey is the epitome of what all patients want from their primary care physician: Knowledge, trust, and genuine empathy. In today's frantic healthcare market where "numbers and profits" have often displaced "care and concern," Dr. Babey routinely demonstrates that you are important to him, and, that he genuinely cares about you.
Since I began seeing Dr. Babey I can attest that my overall health has never been better or more consistent. Moreover, if the occasional "health issue" surfaces, Dr. Babey is on top of it quickly. Your health is his priority, and if you are fortunate enough to be one of his patients, then you know what I mean.
The 4C medical staff and administrators should also be commended. "Liking people" isn't something that can be trained - it's a behavior. From the time you call to schedule an appointment, to signing in at the desk, to having your vitals checked, this front and back office staff are efficient, and just as importantly, they make you feel like a family member, and not just "another patient."
I've been in the healthcare industry since 1996 and I can verify that not all medical offices or doctors operate in the ways I've just described. Dr. Babey and his crew are truly unique, and the positive health results they produce are nothing less than remarkable.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Kris K.North Mountain Village, Phoenix, AZ09Dec 31, 2022
Hello,
I recently became a patient after hearing wonderful things about your practice.
I was needing help managing my high blood pressure, as I had been prescribed the wrong medication by my previous physician. I've also been experiencing severe nausea intermittently (sometimes it will last all day, sometimes it is only for a few hours.)
I met with the nurse practitioner Beena the first week of June . She asked many questions and some I felt was too personal/sensitive. I answered her questions.
I did
I would need to be off work due to the condition) and Beena originally wrote "flexible hours." Unfortunately, this is not specific enough for my employer. I had informed Beena that I work four 10-hour shifts per week; with this information, a set number of days or hours needs to be entered. (For example: X number of days per month may be missed, or X number of hours per week, etc.) For some reason there doesn't appear to be an understanding of what is needed in the section and the form is missing this pertinent info. My claim examiner has faxed and emailed the form repeatedly, requesting the same information. This last edit resulted in Beena using white out to remove the word "intermittent", which is not even a step in the right direction.
At this point, it's starting to feel like there is a willful misinterpretation of my FMLA form and the specific information being requested. Also an excuse for me to go to the office.
Nurse Practitioner was very unethical and unprofessional.
I can't discuss the other issues.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Business owner information

This review is so long overdue...
We have been patients of Dr. Robert Fauer MD for years. Let us tell you if your searching for a PCP look no further.
Dr. Fauer is one of the BEST, SKILLED, KINDEST, THOROUGH Physicians ever!
Dr Fauer espouses the BEST characteristics a patient could ever ask for.
His Medical Assistant Sheila is a compliment as Sheila demonstrates the same.
Jan in front office (she responds to phone in calls and is kind, smart and efficient.

I have been reaching out from a doctors office I work at trying to get records on a patient for days. No one ever answers the phone even though it says I am number one in the cue. I have left voicemails, sent messages, and sent emails, but no call back. Is this business OPEN????? So I am still on hold and have been for 15 minutes straight. The company responded back to email them with this issue. I have already emailed them and left them voicemails. I NEED a callback

Don't bother coming here anymore. Used to be such a great place have been coming here for almost 10 years. Ever since 4c medical took over this place is a nightmare. If you want to make an appointment plan to sit on hold for an hour. Then if you have any symptoms they won't see you in person. Isn't that what doctors are supposed to do. I did a telemedicine appointment just for them to charge me $200 and tell me to get rest. Will not be going here any longer.

Don't bother. They won't see patients that have any kind of cough. I thought doctors are supposed to treat sick patients? Coming in for asthma and it's a normal symptom when you lungs spasm. Adios I am switching practices.
