Description
The Type 98 320mm spigot mortar was a large, fixed position artillery piece used by Japan in WWII. Primarily used for their psychological effects, they were deployed on Okinawa, Iwo Jima and Bataan.
The massive shells weighed 330kg and were 1.5m long with the large recoil requiring that the mortar base was embedded in an earth bank
The crew comprises: 1x spotter and 4 generic crew. Models may be duplicated, but are also supplied with extra components (e.g. boxes, shells) model appropriately.
