Daniel Henney recently got married in private to Japanese-American model and actress Ru Kumagai.
On October 20, media outlet SPOTV released an exclusive report revealing that Daniel Henney and Ru Kumagai recently held their private wedding in the United States.
Back in 2018, Daniel Henney and Ru Kumagai were already embroiled in dating rumors but their agencies denied the reports and stated that they are just close friends.
Daniel Henney's agency Echo Global Group officially released their position regarding the circulating marriage news.
According to the agency, "Daniel Henney met the special person he wants to spend the rest of his life with and it fruition to marriage."
The agency also clarified that although the two were reported to be dating in 2018, they were just really friends at that time. The two slowly developed their relationship into a romantic one.
It was also revealed that Daniel Henney and Ru Kumagai held their wedding ceremony attended only by their families.
Lastly, Echo Global Group asked for support and warm blessings on Daniel Henney and Ru Kumagai's careful decision. They also shared that Daniel Henney will do his best to repay the love and support he has received in his future works.
Daniel Henney made his acting debut in 2005 through the hit Korean drama My Lovely Sam Soon. He worked alongside top stars Kim Sun Ah and Hyun Bin.
Since then, the Korean-American actor has appeared in several K-dramas and films. He is best known for being part of the works Spring Waltz, The Fugitive: Plan B, Dear My Friends, Seducing Mr. Perfect, My Father, The Spy: Undercover Operation, Confidential Assignment 2: International, and more.
Daniel Henney is set to star in the upcoming Korean film Dog Days with star-studded casts of Yoo Hae Jin, Youn Yuh Jung, Kim Yoon Jin, Jung Sung Hwa, Kim Seo Hyung, and Lee Hyun Woo
Meanwhile, Ru Kumagai made her acting debut in 2006. This year, she starred in the action comedy film titled Happy Mart wherein she also participated as the producer of the movie.
