HISTORY OF BADMINTON
In 1992, badminton was recognized as an Olympic sport and included in the Olympic Games program.
Since 1947, the largest team competition for men has been held - the Thomas Cup.
Among women, the main team competition is the Uber Cup, which has been held since 1955.
In 1996, another category was added, and since then five sets of awards have been awarded.
The best successes in Olympic tournaments were achieved by athletes from Asia, primarily from China, Indonesia and the Republic of Korea.
