Arcade Fire performed Funeral in full for the first time last night, opening their set at L.A.’s Greek Theatre. They’re rumored to be doing the same at Greek Theatre shows tonight and tomorrow in Berkeley, California, according to Arcade Fire Tube. The fan account quotes Win Butler saying, “We're not sentimental, but it's just been 14 years since Funeral so we felt like playing it.” Pitchfork has emailed representatives for the band for more information.

The rest of last night’s setlist comprised songs from their remaining albums. Check out clips below.

In a similar retrospective surprise, Nine Inch Nails opened a show last week by playing the Broken EP in full. Arcade Fire are still touring behind Everything Now; their new “Peter Pan” [Equiknoxx Remix] video arrived yesterday.

Correction: An earlier version of this story incorrectly stated that “Une année sans lumière” and “7 Kettles” hadn’t been played in 4 years; in fact, both were revived earlier this year.
