About this app

The app enables individual planning of the way to school (various routes, including leisure routes, along the Notinsel shops and e.g. Grandma’s house) and shows possible emergency islands for children along the way, which offer refuge and help.

The app has an emergency call function (at home, grandma, best friend). The app can dial 110 directly.

The app should also enable accompanying people in cooperation with the AXA Wayguard app including a 24/7 emergency hotline.

The app can send out push notifications centrally and location-based in emergency situations

.

Krisenchat.de was integrated in order to provide children with 24/7 crisis assistance via WhatsAPP.

Integration of the Notinsel shops in the app:

- Own representation of each business in the Notinsel APP

- Shops are also displayed in the AXA Wayguard app

- Stored information (premium):

Logo, pictures of the branch, opening times, offers, video, description, keywords, signets such as Fairtrade or support of the board (premium entry)

-> resulting SEO effect

To the NOTINSEL project

.

Goal: Children safely out and about in public spaces and digitally.

Fear and danger are part of everyday life. When children have to experience that the way to school can be dangerous, or when something else has happened to them, they need support and a place of refuge. On the playground or sports field, at school or on the way home.

All shops with the Notinsel sign on the door offer a refuge for children. In addition, the businesses involved send a clear signal for child protection and against potential perpetrators. In addition to the specific point of contact, the emergency island also has an important preventive function.

So that children do not get lost on their way, the German Child Protection Foundation Hänsel + Gretel has created a symbol with the Notinsel that offers children safe places of refuge. At 230 locations across Germany, around 17,000 shops with the Notinsel sign on their doors signal to the children: "You are safe where we are."

With Germany's largest child protection project in public space, it is possible to offer children protection in acute dangerous situations, to get people to look and act and to create a broad awareness of children.

- approx. 2,100,000

reached children

- since 2002

- 230 cities

- approx. 17,000 stores.

About the institution:

The German Child Protection Foundation Hänsel + Gretel protects and strengthens children against sexual abuse and violence.

To ensure that children do not get lost, the German Child Protection Foundation Hänsel + Gretel has been campaigning for more safety, protection and awareness for children and young people since 1997.

With over 520 projects that contribute to improving the living environment of children and young people, tens of thousands of children and young people, numerous schools, institutions, kindergartens, parents and professionals are reached every year.

The nationwide and professionally recognized in-house and cooperation projects contribute to the personal development and strengthening of children and young people and protect them where they cannot do it themselves.
