DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – Senior
Arthur Cosson of the Saint Leo University Men's cross country made a huge stride in the Sunshine State Conference Championships Saturday morning, taking home the 2022 Individual title with a time of 25:55.2 at Embry-Riddle XC Course.
The native of Châteauroux, France bested the vaunted Paul Kraemer from Embry-Riddle by 8.5 seconds, as the Lions finished as SSC runners-up with 65 points, edging out University of Tampa by one point. Cosson is now the seventh Lion to win the SSC Individual Championship in the last ten years.
Saint Leo placed two runners in the Top 10, as Sophomore
Remi Liberse finished sixth overall in the championship meet with a time of 26:35.3.

The Lions will now prepare for the NCAA South Regional Championships at Halloway Park in Lakeland, Fla. November 19th.
