Legacy School (TX) point guard PJ Neal headed to HBCU

Legacy School (TX) point guard P.J. Neal is staying in the state of Texas to play his college basketball at Division I Prairie View A&M.

A few other programs were making hard pushes but the proximity to home and ability to play his game were huge factors. Also the fact that it’s an HBCU played a huge part in your decision-making process.

“It was definitely big with everything going on the last couple of months,” he said of it being an HBCU. “I feel like it’s something that could change my life and my family’s life around for the better.”

The 6-foot-2 guard joins his high school teammate Brian Myles in PVAMU’s 2021 recruiting class. He’s looking to tighten up his handle, shoot it better and continue to be a leader before he joins the college ranks so that he can bring a complete game that will help the program out for the next four years.

“Just being a competitor, winner, leader and be a good teammate,” he said. “But, also score when I need to; I want to be a guy that is just going to compete day in and day out.”
