International Heritage Summer School (IHSS 2021)
Objectives
International Heritage Summer School (IHSS 2020) is a laboratory learning experience, merging theoretical contributions to observation, interpretation and methodological recording of landscape . The Douro Region, Portugal, is a territory marked by multiple issues that allow a multidisciplinary approach.
Landscape is an individual perception and a living space, not only a contemplative space. Landscape is the community's sense of belonging and its transformations and changes that are developed through time summoning the relationship of human beings with his territory.
Themes:
1- Rhythms and values of Landscape and Architecture
2- World heritage: strategies and challenges of sustainable cultural heritage and identities representation
3- The landscape across tangible and intangible heritage
4- Cross-border landscape: the cultural tourism and the regional development
5- Development, implementation and management of tourist-cultural projects
6- The image in contemporary landscape construction: photography and cinema as media

- Target Group: Students and researchers in the area of heritage sciences, history, architecture, landscape architecture and fine arts.
