REDDING, Calif. - The Simpson Wrestling team commits Jacquline Placencia on May 10, 2022.

Placencia comes from North Salinas High School in Salinas, California. 

According to Coach Rod Forseth, Placencia brings depth to our line up at the 116 lb weight class. Placencia is a California State qualifier, and had a great run at State this year. Placencia also won 1st place in the  Pacific Coast Athletic League Championship 2022 and a Scholar Athlete Award.

Placencia says she chose Simpson because the staff and students are very friendly and it seems like a tight knit community. She hopes that the teacher to student ratio will alow her to get a better one-on-one learning experience. Placencia already feels very supported and is ready to begin her journey at Simpson.
