Science by the Pint- A Science Cafè At Your Neighborhood Bar

We strive to make people realize how science is deeply intertwined in our everyday lives and to remove the stigma that science is hard to understand and complicated.

To do this, we invite Harvard researchers to join us for a drink at bars in Boston to casually chat about their latest scientific discoveries. Topics range from the latest advances in cancer treatments to methods for eradicating malaria infection.

Events are held on the last Tuesday of each month and rotate through multiple bars. Events start promptly at 6:30 PM with an introduction on the topic followed by featured speakers talks. Organizers will moderate a Q&A session and will later open it up for questions from the audience. Discussions generally wrap up around 8:00 PM. Food will be provided.

Our current venue partners (and general event timings) are:

Trident Bookseller & Cafè (Fenway)              March 12th (6:30 -8:00 PM)

Seahag (Cambridge)                                        April 30th (6:30 -8:00 PM)

Beantown (Boston Commons)                       May 28th  (6:30 -8:00 PM)
