Greg Paulus is unafraid to nurture Tar Heel babies

This is a photo of Greg Paulus holding a baby. Observe:

That's from 850 The Buzz, some of whose commenters are revolted at the sight. Rush The Court insists the photo must photoshopped, because "Paulus couldn't be possibly dumb enough" to pose for the photo. But why not?

Apparently, the photo was taken on an ACC barnstorming tour, and Paulus' Carolina blue is merely the color of the jerseys his team wore. And as for the baby? Well, you know, it's just a baby. Paulus is smiling. Presumably, the person behind the camera finds this to be a funny image. What's the harm here?

Maybe there is a large subsection of Duke fans that couldn't fathom how their former point guard would ever wear Carolina blue, or could ever hold a crying child doing same, but guys? Guess what? Players don't take this as seriously as we do. It's pretty much just fans. Everyone on the court is friends, and everyone has fun with it, at least when it doesn't interfere with regular season and national titles and Coach K preparing you how to use a credit card for life.

So, on behalf of the Internet, I'd like to encourage anyone who gets strong feelings about this photo beyond "Ha, Greg Paulus looks like a goof," to take a nice, long, deep breath. Feel better? Thought so.
