The Bitcoin Rich List

Is it just me or does anyone else utilize and take advantage of the Bitcoin Rich List provided by bitinfocharts.com. This is a tool I utilize periodically to examine when the whales/billionaires are selling or buying bitcoin. I find this tool beneficial considering it could present an idea of how these tycoons react to positive or unfavorable news/events.

How the Rich List works?

For anyone that hasn't exploited from the Rich List, I will provide you an abstract of the Rich List.

(1) Distribution: The amount of addresses correlated with the balance is shown below. The statistics provided include the number of Bitcoin holders which are ranging from 1 USD to over 100,000 USD.

(2) Addresses of Bitcoin Holders: The depiction of the top 100 richest Bitcoin addresses are present on the rich list starting with the richest holder leading the list. Along with the address includes useful tools such as the current balance of the address, the percentage of coins retained, the first day/year the address purchased Bitcoin, when the address recently purchased Bitcoin, the first time the address has sold their position in Bitcoin, and the recent record of when they sold Bitcoin.

(3) Option to Select the Addresses: On bitinfocharts, it gives you the option to click on the address. When you click on the address, you can view a full list of the address holder's transaction time, amount, and balance. This is a beneficial tool as it may give ideas on certain patterns that correlate with news/events.

So there you have it! This is the rich list and the tools provided! I would highly recommend taking advantage of the Rich List and coming up with patterns correlated with significant events! My notion is that the top holders are perhaps hedge funds, whales, the Winklevoss twins, or some filthy rich billionaires with strong belief in Bitcoin taking over fiat. I was astonished to analyze certain addresses worth billions never selling their Bitcoins, only continuously buying Bitcoin. When I observed certain address that never sold their position in Bitcoin, it gave me faith that Bitcoin is certainly here for the future!

Another imperative component I analyze is the percentage currently retained by the top three holders. The greatest holder of Bitcoin currently has 1.13 % of total Bitcoins. Cyclically, I observe how much the percentage decreases or increases in accordance to certain events/speculation.
