Tsuzuku: Mejibray

Since I don’t exactly know what to post on my blog, I decided to go on the simple side and post what truly influences me in whatever I do. Music. It’s not out of laziness, but really out of inspiration.

There is one singer that has always caught my attention and his name is Tsuzuku (often just written as tszk) from the band Mejibray. Especially this picture.

I think this image is beautiful, simple because of the patterns. The pattern on the walls, rug on the floor, his shirt, and even his tattoos, just draws your attention into it. The lighting is also gorgeous.

I feel like I need to specify one thing: this is a man.

In Japan, this visual style for musicians is quite popular and belongs to the visual kei movement. I find it very interesting to listen to a band and enjoying it, on top of enjoying looking at them in general. Some of the costumes (that I’m going to post in a bit) are simply gorgeous and involves a lot of creativity. I like to know that some bands invest a lot of efforts into not only their music, but also the visuals that comes with it.

Tsuzuku is one fine man in my opinion, and he has a very dark vibe about him that shows into his photoshoots, videos, and his outfits. This picture just represents his “character” very well, in my opinion. Dark, but still draws you into it, forces you to look a bit closer.
(He also has a split tongue which makes for some gorgeous shots like this one in videos)

Here’s a video of the band, just so you guys can enjoy his singing voice, which I happen to love! I also love the video, it’s very visually interesting. If you don’t like vibrato in a voice, this will probably be torture for you though. He makes his voice have a lot of vibrato…
