HOMEFOLKS UNITE
TO BUILD RIVER DAM
;KERRVII,LE — Folks around
here decided they ought to put a
dam across the Guadalupe River,
to create a beautiful lake right in
the center of town. Nobody ap-
pealed to Washington for help,
there wasn’t even a suggestion of
a bond issue. Instead they just
passed the hat, and up to last week
had collected most of the $30,000
estimated to be the cost of the
dam.
